Knee Surgery - Repair of Torn Lateral Meniscus

This stock medical exhibit illustrates a right knee injury and three steps from the arthroscopic surgical procedure to repair the knee. The first illustration is an anterolateral view of the pre-operative condition with deep fissure in the medial femoral condyle and multiple cartilagionous loose bodies in the knee joint. A second illustration displays the torn lateral meniscus from the superior view. Surgical steps include: arthroscopic instruments being inserted into the knee joint through multiple stab incisions, removal of the torn portions of the medial meniscus and debridement of the torn meniscus.
